Special Events
As well as Sunday Worship, the Church arranges special activities over the year
Fundraising for an annual charity project: in recent years the church has raised thousands of pounds for causes such as the local school, the Royal Mission to Deep Sea Fishermen, the Christian Blind Mission, Amnesty International, the Rose Road Association and 'Send a Cow'. In 2006 the church raised over £2000 for Naomi House children's hospice through a variety of fundraising events and activities.
Outings for the Junior Church, including a summer outing to Swanage.
Special events for Harvest and Christmas.
Annual Flower Festival
Support for the Society of St James (which works with homeless people in Southampton) through a monthly collection of tinned produce.
Joint events with All Saints' Church, such as the Women's World Day of Prayer, Christian Aid collecting and Remembrance Sunday
Weddings and Baptisms (the church is registered for marriages)
The church produces a bimonthly newssheet jointly with the Parish Church. Called 'Open Doors' it is distributed across the village with the village magazine.
